Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. Her debut film part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) and then went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by a hopeful photographer. She has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. Having come to the attention of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of the 12 most promising new Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old when she was given the character of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bondgirl to date. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA member Siobhan Doovan. Doody had an unspoken role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias as she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version of The Secret Garden. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first leading role. The episode aired in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman. She went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 to play a small role in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her in a scene during an awards ceremony. in 2004, Doody starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November of 2018, she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and she received the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
